ABO Wind is a successful renewable energy developer for wind, solar, battery storage, and green hydrogen projects worldwide. Founded in 1996, the German-based company has realised renewable energy plants with a total capacity of 5 GW. In-house specialist departments have been providing all steps of project development and implementation: from site assessment, planning, engineering, permitting and financing to construction, grid connection, operational management and maintenance. ABO Wind’s development pipeline comprises more than 21 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity with grid connection and an additional 20 gigawatts for green hydrogen production. In Tunisia, ABO Wind is developing green hydrogen projects combining wind, solar and electrolysis to feed hydrogen into the existing pipeline.
In view of the continuous rising demand for hydrogen worldwide, ABO Wind fully supports the SoutH2 Corridor Project by the 4 TSO Snam, TAG, GCA and bayernets. On the one side, this project will take an important part in Europe’s success in achieving decarbonization and hydrogen import targets fast. On the other side, it will be beneficial for Tunisia and Algeria to establish a local green hydrogen industry.
